Pre-School Newsletter: February 2012

February is a busy month for the preschool.

We start the month off with  Groundhog Day and exploring shadows.  We will kick off our color of the week, with every child wearing the same color on Wed/Fri through March.

We will spend some time this month talking about our dental health too.  Over the years, I’ve had a lot of dentist Dad’s at preschool.  Hopefully, I can get one to come and visit us again this year.

We obviously focus on love in February as well.  On Valentine’s Day, we ask that each child brings a visitor to school to help the child make a Valentine for their parents.  It’s a nice way for the children to connect to another adult mentor in their lives.   It’s a fun, but messy event with an explosion of tissue paper and hearts.  Luckily, my favorite part of the job is making creative messes.

The school district takes a “winter break” mid month, but the preschool will be here through that time.  We will use the week of Easter as our ‘spring break’.  I’d like to thank you all again for your prayers and support of the Preschool this year.  It was nice to be a part of the annual meeting and see so many of you.  It is truly a joy to work for Messiah and be a part of your ministry here.  Thank you!
